SHEET METAL CUTTING
We use laser cut laminations, this is the best for prototyping, for small series, special applications and Service, as it does not imply any initial investments in equipment, but offers very fast lead times. The equipment is the most state of the art available on the market.
Stamping or Punching technologies are used for medium to large size series. Some applications combine laser cutting or stamping with slots punching.
The Company is able to find on the market a wide range of electrical steel with different grades of losses and insulation, thus responding to the most diverse needs.
Laminations are stacked by means of equipment specially designed and constructed for each project to grant the highest quality. They are pressed by manual or robotized hydraulic presses, according to stack size and quantity.
We can offer riveted rotor stacks.
TIG and wire welding are available: they can be manual or robotized, depending on the finish and the quality required. A dedicated brazing station completes the equipment.
We use BACKLACK technology for stacks assembly. Each lamination is cut from a pre insulated sheet of electrical steel with a thermosetting polymer; when subjected to a temperature of about 200°C, the polymer reacts and allows their bonding.
If compared to welding or riveting, the advantages of this technology are the following:
- No deformation in the stacks;
- Better stiffness and stability of rotating stacks;
- No vibrations in rotating stacks;
- Improved accuracy in the alignment of laminations, improved squareness and flatness of stacks;
- Absence of magnetic field disturbance caused by the welding.
The turning is performed on an assembled stator and rotor stacks to ensure tight tolerances.
Maximum machining diameter up to 2000 mm and max. 3000 mm length are available.
Mechanical processes are carried out on the assembled stacks in the machining centre.
The products that are usually machined are the following:
- Stator stacks;
- Stacks for linear motors;
- Poles for AC and DC machines;
- Frames for DC machines.
The Company provides stator stacks with tie rods and machined press flanges; if necessary, they are assembled with their casing.
Shaft or copper bars insertion or bonding of permanent magnets on rotor packs can be performed.
Thanks to skilled partners, the Company can supply complete stators and poles complete with their windings.
